Tear trough rejuvenation is used to improve the appearance of fine lines, dark circles or dark hollows underneath the eyes which appear in some people.

With ageing the skin loses its tone and gets thinner and muscles become looser. Tear trough rejuvenation involves a dermal filler product being injected into the deep part of the tear troughjust above the orbital bone. The filler will plump out the hollow underneath the eyes, making it appear flatter and smoother. Topical anaesthetics can be applied to the area before the injection if required, although many products come with local anaesthetics within the formulation, and recovery time is minimal – you can go right back to work after the procedure.

Tear trough rejuvenation allows you to return to work following the procedure and continues to do its work long after the treatment by providing the skin with amino acids, antioxidants, minerals and vitamins for maximum long-term results.

Are tear trough treatments safe?

The tear trough procedure uses a naturally occurring substance, hyaluronic acid, in the form of a filler gel which has been used worldwide for over 10 years in millions of treatments.

Are there any side effects?

Some patients experience a slight reddening and tenderness around the injection site which usually clears up after a couple of days. Bruising can sometimes be eperienced as the area being treated under the eye is very vascular. There is no danger from this and the bruising can be covered up with make-up.

How much does it cost?

Costs are currently reduced from £400 to £320. This includes a pre-treatment consultation, one syringe of a dermal filler and a follow-up appointment 2 weeks after your initial treatment.
